palliAGED is an online evidence-based guidance and knowledge resource about palliative care in aged care for use by health professionals and the aged care workforce. On this site you can access education, tools and links to apps that can be utilised in aged care.
End of Life Directions for Aged Care (ELDAC)
ELDAC provides information, guidance, and resources to health professionals and aged care workers to support palliative care and advanced care planning to improve the care of older Australians. Links are provided to a range of online resources.

Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (PEPA) In Aged Care
PEPA aims to enhance the capacity of health professionals to deliver a palliative care approach in aged care through workshops and Reverse PEPA Placements. A team of specialist palliative care and aged care educators provide palliative care education and training in aged care services.
Palliative Aged Care Outcomes Program (PACOP)
PACOP is dedicated to improving the outcomes of Australians in aged care homes with a particular focus on those who are approaching the end of their life. Residential aged care is often a person’s final place of residence, with approximately 65,000 people in residential aged care homes dying each year.
The Palliative Care Education (PaCE) App
PaCE is a resource directory for educators and health and aged care providers. Relevant palliative care education resources can be accessed via your electronic device by using this app.
Victorian Aged Care Education and Training platform (VACET)
VACET is an online, free learning platform is for people who work in residential aged care and would like to learn more about providing palliative care in an aged care setting. Modules completed count towards continuous professional development.
Competency in Health Assessment of the Older Person
This three-day workshop for registered nurses is conducted by La Trobe’s Centre for Evidence Based Aged Care (ACEBAC). It includes hands-on skills in assessment, care planning and care delivery for older people.
